BORG Automotive is ready for a flying start with remanufactured turbochargers
BORG Automotive, the largest independent remanufacturer in Europe, is now providing the aftermarket with a new range of turbochargers. Under the brands Elstock, DRI, TMI and Lucas, BORG offers distributors and thereby workshops OES matching quality, high market coverage, high delivery capabilities and competitive prices, among others.
Until now, BORG Automotive's complete range has included eight product groups: brake calipers, starters, alternators, A/C compressors, EGR valves, steering pumps, steering racks, and steering columns. Adding turbochargers as the ninth product group expands the company’s already wide portfolio. It also strengthens its position in the aftermarket, with a second product group with the focus on a reduced, cleaner, and optimized emission of exhaust gas.
The new product group comprises more than 700 references for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. For more than 117 million vehicles in Europe, it offers a quality level equal to the new original part. The reason: as with all remanufactured spare parts from BORG Automotive, the turbochargers are original cores that are reconditioned to their current state according to the best prescriptions.
BORG Automotive Spain is responsible for the remanufacturing process. The Spanish subsidiary is the largest European turbocharger remanufacturer for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and has many years of experience in this field. The factory in Pamplona is certified according to quality standards ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and IAFT16949: the special standard for quality in automotive production. Furthermore, the factory has a large and flexible production capacity.
BORG Automotive Spain exclusively remanufactures cores from OE manufacturers and thus covers all major vehicle brands and vehicles. Turbochargers with variable turbine geometry (VTG) are also available in the product range as well as electrically actuated turbos.
The remanufacturing process is very thorough. Each turbocharger is dismantled, cleaned, and inspected in detail. If it is suitable for remanufacturing, BORG Automotive replaces small and wear parts. The spare parts used are primarily from renowned Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers. Finally, each turbocharger must undergo more than 30 tests according to the manufacturer's specifications before delivery and is also tested for perfect function in simulated road operation.

All turbochargers are now available for BORG Automotive customers and can be found in TecDoc and company web shops. On request, ready-to-install delivery can be carried out in approximately 24 hours. BORG Automotive is well-known for their plug-and-play solutions, which now include turbochargers, where the seals required for installation are always included. Also included is a two-year warranty without mileage limit.
