Optimally prepared for the winter – with market firsts from BORG Automotive Reman

The summer is still in full swing. But winter is coming surely. It’s time for distributors to prepare for the autumn and winter business. For example with remanufactured brake calipers, alternators or starters from BORG Automotive Reman. They bring together the quality of an original part with the price-performance ratio for fair value repairs. And in many cases, BORG Automotive Reman is the first to offer an alternative to the respective OES part.

Stocking up in time allows for faster delivery. And BORG Automotive Reman offers what the aftermarket needs: spare parts that enable workshops to provide car servicing at the highest level and still operate profitably. No matter whether a brake check reveals that brake calipers need to be replaced, or whether a flat car battery reveals a fault in the alternator, or whether too many unsuccessful attempts to start the engine have taken their toll on the starter.

High market coverage

Under the Elstock, DRI and TMI brands, BORG Automotive Reman has a solution for almost every vehicle. Starter motors, for example, are available for 95 percent of all vehicles, brake calipers for 96 percent and alternators for 93 percent. The range includes rare spare parts for older vehicles as well as fast-moving items for vehicles that are particularly common on the market.

Often the first in the aftermarket

Often, the company is the first supplier in the aftermarket to come up with an alternative to the original part. Just recently, for example, the company added an alternator for more than one million VW Group vehicles in Europe to its range, for which previously only genuine parts were available. It is the perfect replacement for the OE numbers 04E903015Q, 04E903015QX and 04C903021A and fits perfectly in various versions of the Audi A3, Seat Leon and VW Golf from model year 2020 onwards, which are equipped with 1.0, 1.4 and 1.5-litre petrol engines.

Another new addition to the portfolio and currently the only Aftermarket alternative to the OE part is a new starter that covers almost one million Ford vehicles in Europe. It replaces starters with the OE numbers 2206046 and 2461276 and delivers top performance in various models with a 1.0-litre petrol engine or mild hybrid powertrain, including the Fiesta and Focus from model year 2020 onwards

Last but not least, BORG Automotive Reman has launched another starter for various Ford vehicle applications, which replaces OE number 2198353. It provides dealers and workshops with an excellent spare part for more than one million vehicles in Europe, including the C-MAX from model year 2012, the Focus from model year 2018 and the Puma and Kuga models, both from model year 2019 onwards.

Only original parts are remanufactured

Like all remanufactured spare parts from BORG Automotive Reman, the new additions offer a quality equal to that of OE products – because BORG Automotive Reman has more than 40 years of experience and exclusively remanufactures used original spare parts.

In addition, all production facilities are located in Europe. Here, every single unit is thoroughly inspected, dismantled and cleaned. Small and wearing parts are then replaced before everything is reassembled. Finally, individual function tests in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications ensure that every single device performs optimally. Each product is delivered with a two-year warranty and no mileage limit – even overnight if required, as the remanufacturer maintains several express warehouses in Europe.

Last but not least, life cycle asessments (LCAs) carried out by Linköping University for BORG Automotive show that not only dealers, workshops and drivers benefit from remanufacturing, but also the environment. According to the analyses, remanufacturing by the company saves an average of 60% CO2eq, 42% energy and 70% raw materials compared to new production.
