BORG Automotive Reman expands product offering with 116 part numbers in the first quarter of 2023
In the first quarter of 2023, BORG Automotive Reman, the largest independent remanufacturer in Europe, expanded its product range by 116 part numbers. For a great deal of these additions, BORG Automotive Reman has been the first aftermarket supplier.
32 brake calipers, 22 alternators, 22 A/C compressors, 18 starters, ten steering racks and eight turbochargers, as well as three EGR valves and one steering pump, are now available from BORG Automotive Reman under the Elstock, DRI, TMI and Lucas brands.
Around twenty “Market firsts”
According to the company, it is the first aftermarket supplier of around twenty of these new additions. This is true, for example, for an EGR valve for some 40 Mercedes-Benz vehicle applications, from the A- and B-Class to the CLA, GLA and Sprinter. Also, a new brake caliper is now at hand for just under 30 vehicle versions from Citroën, Peugeot, Opel and Vauxhall.
Many fast movers
Among the potential best-sellers in the line expansion is an alternator for more than 70 VW Group vehicle applications: It covers 2.6 million vehicles in Europe, including the Audi A1, Seat Ibiza, Skoda Kodiaq and VW Golf.
The new turbochargers also include a number of best-sellers: Four fast movers are on offer to the European Aftermarket, representing Dacia, Ford, Infinity, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz and Renault.
Finally, an electric steering rack for more than 120 vehicle applications from Audi has been added as part of the range expansion. It is the perfect spare part for various models of the Audi A4, A5, RS4, RS5, S4 and S5 – and thus for in excess of 700,000 vehicles in Europe.
Quality on a par with original parts
As is standard at BORG Automotive Reman, all newly added part numbers offer quality on a par with OES parts, because the company only remanufactures used original cores. The remanufacturing process is carried out in Europe. Every used part is dismantled, cleaned and inspected in ISO 9001:2015-certified production facilities. Small and wear parts are replaced, followed by reassembly and final product-specific functional tests according to manufacturer specifications.
The effort is well worth it: Remanufactured spare parts from BORG Automotive Reman offer the trade and workshops an attractive price-performance ratio and a good environmental balance – because compared to the production of new spare parts, remanufacturing consumes significantly less energy and raw materials.
All details on the new part numbers have already been added to the TecDoc catalogue. They are always delivered ready for installation with a two-year warranty with no mileage limit.
